South Fork offers recreational activities year round, with high alpine valleys, pristine mountain lakes surrounded by rugged mountain peaks.

During the summer, South Fork has a mild climate with temperatures ranging from low to mid 80's in the day to 50's at night. Winter can vary greatly with either below zero temperatures or mild, sunny days in the 30's to 40's.
