Wolf Creek Ski Area!

The Most Snow in Colorado!
Located, just 18 miles south of South Fork, on Hwy. 160, in the heart of the pristine San Juan Mountains.  With a base elevation of 10,300 feet and the summit at 11,900 feet, this high alpine ski resort is sure to take your breath away.

Hours of Operations:

Ticket windows are open from 8:15am - 4:30pm

Lifts operate from 8:30 am - 4:00pm

Wolf Creek's 7 Lifts: provide access to over 1,600 acres of terrain, for beginners and expert skiers and snow boarders.

Magic Carpet - is a moving conveyor belt style lift for the Wolf Pup Program.
Nova - services beginner terrain.
Raven - services primarily beginner and intermediate terrain. (New for 2006 replacing the Dickey chair)
D Boyce Poma - services intermediate and advanced terrain.
Bonanza & Treasure Chairs - services intermediate and expert slopes.
Alberta - services the water fall area, with primarily expert tree skiing and boarding with a few intermediate options.

Ski School:Wolf Creek also offers individual and group ski lessons for all ability levels starting at the age of 5.
The Wolf Pup Center is for smaller children, with access to the magic carpet & a lunch room. Hot Shots is specifically designed for children 9-12, where they can earn medals based on their daily progress. Please remember weather conditions can change rapidly so be prepared with extra clothing and goggles. Clothing need not be elaborate, or even designed for skiing, but a wool hat, warm gloves or mittens, and underclothing is a must. Also don't forget that sunscreen and sunglasses are necessary in the high altitude sun.
