South Fork’s Exquisite Golf Course
Ranked the “6th Best New Golf Course to Open in 2003” by Golf Digest, this exquisite 18-hole championship golf course is destined to be one of the best in Colorado. It features the Rio Grande River, large groves of cottonwoods and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Elevations range from 8,130 to 8,590 feet and the total length of the fairways is 7,200 yards. The longest par five is a massive 600 yards. Six of the holes meander around the Rio Grande with the river coming into play laterally, as well as crossing. Six holes are in the meadows and provide transition between the Rio Grande and the Mountain holes. The mountain holes are carved into the rock and trees and provide dramatic views with a spectacular finishing hole featuring a several hundred foot elevation drop. The club has a first-class training facility with a spacious driving range and green.
A grand clubhouse, restaurant, fitness center and fishing lodge are on-site. Check with the club for a schedule of tournaments, many of which are open to the public. www.riograndeclubandresort.com

Colorado Avid Golfer featured the Rio Grande Club in their February 2020 issue: “Glorious golf, trophy trout and mountain highs make South Fork’s sequestered Rio Grande Club one of the state’s great escapes.”
